The Neighborhub

“The Neighborhub” — as we’re calling it — will be a shared building hosted by a co-op of three neighborhood-based organizations: Side By Side, The Garden, and the West Central Development Project. This will be our new shared home!

The “Hub” is the historic home of former Westminster Presbyterian, a beloved church that closed its doors in honor spring ‘24. We hope to carry their torch as a community also centered on Jesus as we join God’s love for the people and creation of the West Central!

Making a new home for us and the neighborhood

It’s going to take a lot of hard work, teamwork & pizza to remodel this midcentury space.

Funding Structure

  • $400k generous initial investment in interior building remodel by the Presbytery (who own the building)

  • $120k investment by the Co-op (Side By Side, The Garden, West Central Development Project) paid by three years of project start date (volunteer labor counts as a monetary contribution to be assessed at end of project)

  • Joe, Rob and our friends with Windermere Real Estate have generously sponsored this project in early June and has invested in the exterior building paint, establishing space for future community gardens, a new paver patio, and much more. Kelly and Spirit Pruners has generously trimmed tree overhang. Rick and others from various partner Presbyterian churches have invested many hours into renewing the space. We’re so grateful for these partners and can’t wait to see how this shared space connects more and more of us together.

  • Co-op is responsible for filling the space with needed items, like chairs, coffee-makers, and the like. (This is where we could really use your help!)

  • The building interior remodel is in partnership with McCloskey Construction

With your help we could be worshiping and serving together here by…
