at Sunday gatherings

Every Sunday we gather at 10am at the West Central Community Center (1603 N Belt St) to worship God together.

Visiting a new church isn’t always a walk in the park. So if you’re thinking about checking out The Garden:

  1. Know that we’re eager to welcome you!

  2. We’re imperfect, but we want your visit to be as graceful, warm and connective as possible.

  3. We hope you encounter the love of God and discover Jesus as the center of our church.

What you can expect at our services:

  • Warm welcome into the spacious, wood-panelled gym that we worship in

  • Safe and engaging childcare ages 1-12 (nursery “cry room” available, though baby sounds in service are welcome at The Garden!) Each week kids are invited up front for a kids story too.

  • Worship songs of praise and lament to God

  • An honest sharing time for anyone in the community to share the joys and sorrows of real life. We like to pray over each thing shared.

  • A ~25 min. interactive sermon from Scripture and sacrament of communion each week.

  • We’ll often explore tangible ways to serve in the neighborhood

Have any questions about Sundays? Send them our way!

in the neighborhood

The historic and vibrant West Central neighborhood is our home! Catch us coming alongside events, causes and non-profits for goodness in our neighborhood. What movements of God’s goodness might you be passionate about?

Our latest neighborhood event was a mobile pie party on Pie Day (3.14) and our next event is brewing and will be held in June.

in Food Groups

Food Groups are The Garden's version of small groups with the dream of returning to the simplicity and sacredness of the table together. Find one that works for you and jump in as we grow these new groups together. If you’d like to check out a Food Group, send the group hosts or Hannah Rae an email to try one out!

Current Series: “Abide”

In the opening pages of Scripture, we’re offered the ideal environment for human flourishing: the garden of Eden. In the garden, humans are fully connected. They’re connected with God, with others, with the earth, and with their true selves. Join us as we enjoy the spring season exploring God’s design for sacred connection.

Say hello!

We’d love to welcome you in and hear your story.
